Zero Rust
A solid way to prevent rust on any type of metal is to use Zero Rust. Zero Rust is one of the most effective ways to stop rust at the core. It bonds with steel creating a layer that can’t be broken by rust. This stops your equipment from corroding over the years, and helps cut down on replacements. Rust is caused when oxygen and steel meet each other and start to oxidize. Some metals corrode faster than others and some don’t rust at all. This is where Zero Rust stands in front of the methods of rust protection. The thicker the spray is applied, the longer your metal will go without rust. Two to three sprays is sufficient for over 2000 hours of performance. The more layers you add, the longer the lifetime, which differs from traditional paint. Typically primers are just built to hold paint and not actually protect against corrosion and rust. Zero Rust is specifically designed to adhere to metal and protect it as long as possible.

When applying Zero Rust, it’s recommended you clean and strip away any paint that might already be on there. This is because once the spray is applied it can be peeled off when the paint comes off, as it is only applied to the paint and not the metal itself. One shouldn’t add extra layers at this point because paint is not as strong. If a metal is already oxidizing, it’s still recommended that you apply the spray. This is because it will still help protect against rust in many ways including turning the surface to an almost ph neutral environment.
Along with the quality reasons to use Zero Rust, there’s also the issue of safely. This product is free of cancer causing carcinogens, which are normally found in common epoxies. In fact, none of the chemicals react with human tissues, making it one of the safest solutions on the market. Since it’s water based, it comes with the added benefit of being biodegradable.
Zero Rust comes in over 10 different colors and two different sizes. There is the typical aerosol can, and a gallon can.
